About This Project

This Dominion Road property required a complete paving overhaul. The existing surface was fully excavated and replaced with a high-quality permeable paving system using a herringbone pattern for maximum structural integrity and visual appeal.

Permeable paving allows stormwater to filter through the joints and into the ground beneath, reducing runoff and helping meet Auckland Council's stormwater management requirements. This eco-friendly solution is ideal for Auckland's climate and provides a durable, long-lasting surface that handles both vehicle traffic and heavy rainfall with ease.

The scope covered everything from initial site preparation through to final planting — transforming a raw construction site into a finished, liveable community of modern homes.

Our team installed concrete pathways connecting each dwelling, built timber retaining walls to manage the site's natural contours, and laid high-quality ready lawn across all common and private green spaces. The planting scheme included native shrubs and specimen trees that will mature over time, adding privacy and softening the built environment.

Each unit received a concrete patio and paved access, with careful attention to drainage and site levels. Tiled entryways and finished indoor-outdoor transitions completed the look for each modular home. The project required close coordination with other trades on site and was delivered on schedule to meet Kāinga Ora's handover deadlines.

About This Project

Glenfield Primary School needed to replace their tired, worn-out paved courtyard with a modern, durable concrete surface that could withstand heavy daily foot traffic from hundreds of students. A&E Contracting & Pumping Ltd was brought in to deliver a complete concrete pour and drainage solution.

The existing courtyard paving was fully removed and the area was prepared for a fresh concrete pour. Our team installed an integrated channel grate drainage system to manage stormwater runoff — a critical requirement for a school environment where safety and slip resistance are paramount. The drainage channels run seamlessly across the courtyard, capturing water and directing it to the stormwater system.

The concrete was finished with a broom texture — a practical choice that provides excellent grip underfoot in both wet and dry conditions. This slip-resistant finish is ideal for school environments and requires minimal ongoing maintenance. The result is a clean, uniform, professional courtyard that will serve the school community for decades to come.

About This Project

This 5-dwelling development in Te Atatū Peninsula required a complete landscaping package from bare dirt to finished, liveable outdoor spaces. A&E Contracting & Pumping was engaged to deliver the full scope — from initial earthworks and excavation through to the final planting and finishing touches.

The project began with site clearing and excavation, including the removal of construction debris and grading of all five dwelling sites. Our team installed timber retaining walls where needed to manage level changes across the sloping site. Paved pathways and patios were laid using a herringbone paver pattern for each unit, creating individual outdoor living areas with clean, modern lines.

Timber decking was constructed for rear courtyards, and new timber fencing was installed to define boundaries and provide privacy between dwellings. Each unit received a gravel courtyard area, a paved driveway with designated parking, and fresh lawn areas. The narrow side pathways between units were finished with compacted gravel for drainage and access.

The finishing stage included soil preparation and planting of low-maintenance shrubs and ground cover, landscape edging throughout, and a final site clean-up. All five dwellings were completed to a high standard, with consistent quality across the entire development. From bare dirt and building materials to a polished, market-ready row of modern homes — this project showcases our ability to manage multi-unit landscaping from start to finish.
