Vehicle Crossing Services

We handle every aspect of your vehicle crossing — from council paperwork to final asphalt

CAR Applications

We prepare and submit the Customer Approval Request (CAR) to Auckland Transport on your behalf. This is the required application for any new or altered vehicle crossing — we know the process inside out.

Traffic Management Plans

Where the crossing work affects the road or footpath, a TMP is required. We arrange this — ensuring your project meets safety requirements and avoids compliance issues.

Concrete Crossings

AT-specification concrete vehicle crossings built to council standards. Reinforced concrete with proper thickness, finish, and transition detail at the road edge.

Asphalt Tie-Ins

Smooth, seamless connection where your asphalt driveway meets the concrete vehicle crossing. Proper transition detail prevents trip hazards and water ingress.

Kerb & Channel

New or modified kerb and channel as part of the crossing works. Proper kerb profiles, laybacks, and water channel integration to maintain road drainage.

Footpath Reinstatement

Where crossing works disturb the public footpath, we reinstate to AT standards — matching existing surface materials, levels, and finishes.

The Vehicle Crossing Process

From application to completion — here's what to expect

1

Site Visit & Assessment

We visit your property to assess the crossing location, road configuration, existing services, and any constraints. This determines what's feasible and what approvals are needed.

2

CAR Application & Approvals

We prepare and lodge the Customer Approval Request with Auckland Transport. This includes crossing design, location details, and any required traffic management information. AT processing typically takes 10–20 working days.

3

Construction

Once approved, we schedule and complete the crossing works — excavation, kerb and channel modifications, concrete crossing installation, asphalt tie-in, and footpath reinstatement. Traffic management in place throughout.

4

Completion & Sign-Off

We ensure the completed crossing meets AT specifications. Final inspection, site clean-up, and handover. Your new vehicle crossing is ready for use.
